Part Time Yard Operative in Milton Keynes (Approx 30 hours per week)

What we’re doing about COVID-19

Like most businesses, we have had to change the way we do things to make sure all our colleagues are working safely during COVID-19.  As a Yard Operative, your job means you will interact with lots of different people during the day, so we have introduced a set of Safer Operating Procedures which include:

  • Additional PPE supplied to you to ensure a clean and sanitized work environment
  • Social distancing in place in all of our branches

The Branch

Milton Keynes is one of the larger Buildbase branches in the region consisting of a team of 27 different members across all departments. With this in mind it is important that all members of the team are willing to muck-in and support across all roles within the branch to ensure our customers are getting the best service possible

The role of a Yard Operative

As a Yard Operative, you will be making sure our customers get the stock that they need as well as driving our forklift trucks and loading our lorries. This means a forklift truck licence would be an advantage for this role.They are also responsible for helping to ensure  all health and safety guidlines are adhered to. Milton Keynes benefits from a constant stream of customers and therefore it is important that the person coming into this role is comfortable working within a busy and high-pressured environment.
