What we’re doing about COVID-19

Like most businesses, we have had to change the way we do things to make sure all our colleagues are working safely during COVID-19.  As a Operations Manager, your job means you will interact with lots of different people during the day, so we have introduced a set of Safer Operating Procedures which include:

  • Additional PPE supplied to you to ensure a clean and sanitized work environment
  • Social distancing in place in all of our branches

The Branch

Oxford is one of the larger Buildbase branches consisting of a team of 45 different members across all departments, with this in mind it is important that all members of the team are willing to muck-in and support across all roles within the branch to ensure our customers are getting the best service possible

The role of an Operations Manager

The person we are looking to recruit will be enthusiastic, reliable and have great passion to make a real difference to the performance within the branch. You will need to have previous experience working within a Builders Merchants and will be responsible for getting the correct quantities of products to their required location within the given time limit and as a result must effectively organise and manage a team of drivers and vehicles. You will also be responsible for the transport staff, monitoring their progress and being first point of contact should a problem arise, making communication skills vital.
