Bid Manager - Remote working

Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a Bid Manager to join the team! This role will be based remotely from home, however will need to visit the office in Nottingham (NG16) 2-3 times per month.

The Buildbase Supply Chain Solutions team (Public Sector) have transformed how public sector contracts are supported. We pride ourselves on delivering both exceptional customer service and innovative solutions to deliver against our customer requirements including pop-up stores and industrial vending machines to provide what they need, when they need it. Using our extensive knowledge and experience we service over 200 customers with everything they need to succeed.

This role will have overall responsibility for the day to day running of an extremely successful Bid department. From writing bid submissions, attending bid interviews and arranging the successful handover of all awarded contracts, the Bid Manager will have a key part to play in all areas.

You would be involved in establishing project costs at tender stage, to ensure all projects are a viable move for the business.

As line manager of the bid team, you will be responsible for managing the resource allocated to each project, whilst also ensuring everyone is gaining the right personal development for their progression within the business.

The bid manager role is a pivotal role within the Buildbase Supply Chain solutions team, and as such you will always need to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations through the provision of world class customer service, ensuring that customers, both internal and external, are consistently happy with the service that Buildbase Supply Chain Solutions is providing.

We are seeking an individual with exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills and with a full understanding of the bid process.

You will have demonstrable experience in delivering winning, multi-million-pound product or services opportunities. Particular experience of bid management from opportunity identification through to project delivery will be key, and you should also be able to provide valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions, and solution delivery.
