Field Merchandiser – Nationwide

We have an exciting opportunity for a team of Field Merchandisers to join Huws Gray Buildbase. You will be travelling around our Buildbase branches, re-modelling our branches to upgrade the shop area. The role includes some manual work such as moving racking, building shelving units and cleaning parts of the branch so you must be willing to get stuck in.

You will be working nationally, so staying away from home 4 nights a week is expected. We will provide you with a small commercial van and your own tools as well as offering a salary of around £25,000 per year.

The role of a Field Merchandiser

As a Field Merchandiser, you will be working to transform the display and organisation of our products across the business. As Buildbase begins integration with Huws Gray, the successful candidates will need to work with both Buildbase & Huws Gray platforms, build rapport with suppliers and internal Huws Gray teams (when necessary) to make sure that tasks are met within agreed timescales. 

You will be responsible for creating brilliant shop layouts through remodelling, merchandising and organising our products so that our customers have the best shopping experience in-store. This is a hands-on role, so be prepared to get involved with the process from start to finish - ordering key stock & display materials, to building, cleaning and moving racking across the branch network. 

What you need

You'll need to be someone who isn't afraid of hard work and is a team player. You must be happy to get stuck in while building good relationships with our branches. This is an exciting project which could transform the way our customers shop with us. It requires you to be able to manage your own workload, be proactive and work to deadlines as this is a fast-paced project. 

You will need to be flexible and be prepared to work away from home for up to 4 nights per week.
